The Eco Utsav @ Bhuj

What does a climate-friendly Bhuj look like to its young citizens? At The Eco Utsav, over 220 school students came together to share their ideas and explore ways to make their city more climate-friendly.

Through songs, plays, and demonstration models, students brought environmental concerns into everyday life and showed how small changes in how we live can make a difference.

Organised through Urban Environment Education (UEE), a project of Homes In The City (HIC), the fair gave students a space to learn from one another, present their ideas, and reflect on the kind of city they want to live in.

At HIC, we believe conversations about climate and the environment should start early and connect to children's everyday experiences. Giving young people the space to understand these issues, ask questions, and share their perspectives is an important step towards making Bhuj a more climate-conscious city.
